CB-3 Parks Committee Unanimously Supports Lighting for the East River Track!

We're one step closer to a safer and more accessible track– Here’s what’s next

Dear Supporters,

Great news! Last night, Manhattan Community Board 3’s Parks, Recreation, Waterfront, & Resiliency Committee voted unanimously in favor of a resolution asking the NYC Department of Design and Construction to add sports lighting to the East River Park track! This is a huge step forward in making safe, nighttime access a reality.

What’s Next?

The committee's resolution now moves to the full Manhattan Community Board 3 for ratification at their next meeting. Assuming it passes, our next step will be working with city and state officials to advocate for the project and secure funding.
